What to Expect
The course will be delivered through a series of (hopefully!) fun and engaging videos.
These lessons are set up so that you can follow along in Pycharm and your LLM of choice as we write, test, and debug code throughout the lessons.To get full value and benefit from these lessons I highly recommend following along. You will be given a link to download Pycharm in Lesson 1.
It should take between 5-6 hours to complete this course: there is about 4 hours worth of video and extra time will be needed outside of watching video as you follow along with the lessons to prompt, test, and debug your code.
- Running your First Script (20min): We’ll set up PyCharm from scratch and run your first script right away to get a gentle intro to variables, loops, conditionals, and functions, plus a Python vocabulary sheet so you can talk to your AI coding partner like a seasoned dev 💪
- Github basics (30min):You’ll create a GitHub account, pull down code from Lesson 1, make changes, and push them back to a new repo that we create.
- Libraries & Environments (35mins): We’ll work with our AI coding partner to build a script that reads in a CSV of opportunity data and converts currencies and calculates deal velocity. Our coding partner will help us create a virtual environment and install the libraries needed for our script.
- Debugging Code (40mins): Discover what a blessing Pycharm's debugging tool is and how we can use it along with our AI coding partner to troubleshoot and fix errors that crop up in our scripts.
- Hosting Code (70mins): After you have put your code through the ringer in Lesson 4 and it's come out the other side squeaky clean, we are now ready to host and deploy this code in Replit.
- AI Coding Tools (30mins): Supercharge your AI code generation by seeing the native AI agents built into Pycharm and Cursor and how Claude desktop allows you to build apps in double quick time!
Certification
In order to get the Python for RevOps Crash Course certificate, all 6 lessons need to be completed and every quiz question must be answered correctly in order to pass each lesson.
Don't worry I'm not that cruel! You can re-take the quizzes as many times as you want until you get all the questions right and all the answers to the quizzes should be straightforward once you have watched the videos. Where do I go to log in to the course?
When you are logged out you will see the pink "Courses" button in the navigation menu. Hover over this button and then click "Python for RevOps".
Clicking on this button will bring you to a follow-up page where you will see a button to log in beneath the video in the "Login or Register" section.
Once you are logged in hover over the "Lessons" button in the navigation menu and then click "Python for RevOps" to access all the lessons for this course.
Will I get to keep access to the course materials after completion?
Absolutely! So long as you have access to your profile you can always log in and revisit any of the lessons and the associated materials.
Do I need to review the lesson resources before beginning a lesson?
There is no need to look at the resources before starting a lesson. I include all the resources on the lesson overview page so that as you are going through the lesson you can use these resources.
